Enabling Labs Tab in Gmail

If you would like to use some of the Google Labs features in Gmail but cannot find the Labs tab, you can enable it by visiting the following URL after you log in:

https://mail.google.com/mail/?labs=1#settings/labs

Now you can just click the Labs tab and start selecting the Labs features you want, like "Advanced IMAP Controls" to avoid downloading the entire All Mail folder. Gmail will remember you want the Labs tab for next time.

it does not work and nested labels seems to have disappeared from google's radar.

Hi Frank - no idea about nested labels, but I tried this URL and it does indeed work, as of 2 March 2011. At least in my account. I wonder if there are differences, then, per region and etc.

I get this missing Labs tab when I use the multi sign-in feature. I discovered this when your link took me to the Gmail account I was logged in and the Labs tab was there and realized the problem was occurring only in the designated account. So I signed out of the main account, signed in my other account and voila! my Labs tab was back.

Note that you have to sign into an account directly to see labs, if you've accessed it as a delegate it won't be visible.
